Have you ever had a thought of creating new characters that we've never seen in the show?
Yes, we have actually created some original characters exclusive to the film. However, who those characters are and what they’ll do in the film is completely confidential information that I cannot reveal until we release more promotional material or until the film is released publicly.
Will the "FiM" theme music be redone specifically for the movie?
See, I’ve gotten this question a lot and the answer boils down to the fact that I don’t personally know if it will be in the film. Since that particular theme is copyrighted, it might be a little shaky using it in the film when most the content we’re creating is completely original.
So we don’t know necessarily if we WILL be able to use it in the film, but its also something we just haven’t discussed.

Will the visuals be more ambitious than on the show?
Most definitely. My mindset was, if we wanted the film to work in terms of having it feel like a film rather than an extended episode, we had to raise the stakes immensely.
So the film’s visuals are incredibly ambitious.

Has the time finally come at last!? Zecora has finally joined the cast! That’s right everyone! Ponyville’s resident shaman/potion-maker, one that speaks in rhyme no less, is finally joining the cast for Journey of the Spark. In the film, Zecora is being performed by Megan Garcia, known mostly on YouTube as SooperTanzy.
And while Zecora’s role in the film is not as big as the rest of the main cast, she is still relatively vital to the story in a much more subtle manner. Regardless, we’re extremely excited to have Megan on board for the film and we hope you’ll be just as excited when she makes her appearance in Journey of the Spark when it releases in 2014.

Will Journey Of The Spark have the tone or look of classic films like Lord Of The Rings or E.T.?
No. Journey of the Spark in essence is a tribute to the animated films of yesteryear. Its a film inspired by the likes of the Golden Age of Animation from the films of Walt Disney and Don Bluth.
Its a dark, emotionally resonant film inspired by the likes of Pinocchio, Fantasia, The Secret of NIMH, An American Tail, and The Land Before Time.
