Yes, Spike is one of the main characters of the film and is one of the characters that goes on the journey in search of Twilight alongside Luna and the rest of the Mane 6.

Is there going to be a sequel? Why or why not?No. There will be no sequel produced for Journey of the Spark. Mostly because I do not believe there should be a sequel for a story unless you’ve set it up in a way to where it can work and you can keep the story going.
But very much like Spielberg felt there should never be a sequel to ET, I feel the same way about Journey of the Spark. The film was always meant to end with a particular ending in mind. If people want to expand upon the story with their own fan-works, then I’d love to see that personally.
