Will the film carry the same elements (and by that I mean to say similar themes to the TV show and not as in the Elements of Harmony) or will it be much darker and edgier? Not that it would be a problem. Also, sorry about the bubbled phrase; I just want to get the point clear.
Journey of the Spark is far darker than the original show. Its not grimdark, but its more intense than the series. I ultimately felt that if we were going to make the project stand out as a film rather than an extended episode, the story needed to be far less “free of consequence” than the show and that the stakes needed to be raised higher for more dramatic effect.

Every good film has to have a great meaning or message to it. What is the message of Journey of the Spark?
There’s quite a lot of things that I think the audience can take away from Journey of the Spark. But if there’s one message I think anyone can take away from the film, its that change is inevitable.
But taking the first step into adulthood starts with learning to accept that some things in life must change and that you can be able to overcome your greatest fears by learning how to accept it and create a new beginning for yourself.

That I don’t know myself. I think that’s a choice completely up to the composers and the organizer of the orchestra.
