Our minds have ultimately changed. We will be releasing Behind-The-Scenes material online, but we won’t be putting them on DVD. None of the material created for the project will be released outside of the internet.

The movie isn’t Grimdark, but it is much darker than what Friendship is Magic is usually capable of getting away with. But considering what Season 4 introduced with “Princess Twilight Sparkle”, I’m thinking that most fans will be able to swallow the darker/scarier moments from Journey of the Spark.

No. The animation puppets created for Journey of the Spark are strictly for animators working on the project and confidential to the overall film. However, we may be releasing puppet bases so that other animators can create their own for personal use.

Believe it or not, that was one of the things that pissed a lot of people off actually XD

Some people just don’t really like the idea of Discord being a violent character. We wanted him to get involved with the action and he does in the new draft we wrote, but nowhere near to the level we wanted him to originally. I guess you can’t please everyone.

Any references we wanted to have in the movie needed to be incredibly subtle. We’re not the type of people that like to put out blatant references that don’t relate to the movie’s universe. If we wanted to make a reference, it had to either be a very subtle nod or it needed to be intertwined into the dialogue.

There’s quite a few references the movie makes, but you wouldn’t pick up on them immediately. When the movie comes out, see if you can spot any!
