More than likely yes. I love Friendship is Magic with all my heart, but the series is eventually going to end and there won’t be very much of a reason to keep going even if the community continues FiM’s lifespan in spirit.

I’ll definitely throw in my own things while Journey of the Spark is being made, but I can’t make any promises for the future and what that could bring.

I’m comfortable talking about the things that are a given. But I’m not really comfortable talking about the entire movie as a whole just yet. A lot of the charm and fun behind Journey of the Spark is getting to experience the story and see how everything sort of works together.

I mean what fun is there in me telling you about a lot of the more original and unique features about the film if you don’t experience it yourself? I know, waiting can be really hard sometimes, but I feel that when you guys get to see how the story manages to fit itself into canon without having to sacrifice being an original piece of art, you’ll understand why we’re trying to be as secretive as we can. Because the twists and turns that the story takes are just things that have to be seen to be believed.

1) Nearly all of the voice actors on the project double as both the speaking and singing voices of their characters.

2) Something should be made apparent, Forest is NOT the composer of the score for the film. He is merely the songwriter. It is up to our main composers as to whether or not the FiM theme song will be implemented into the score itself.

3) Probably not. I’ve got other things to do. If other people wanna create JOTS into a musical play for high school productions or things like that, all they’d need to do is just ask us for permission and do it for free. But that’ll be after the film is released of course.

This is where the subtle references to previous canon really came in handy for us. We pretty much used the first two seasons to help sort of push the rest of the girls in the direction we wanted them to go.

At one point, the girls realize that Twilight was ultimately the spark that connected them together. Their journey to find Twilight isn’t really one about simply trying to have her go back to save the day, its because the girls feel like they’ve taken advantage of what Twilight has given them as friends.

The movie chronicles the girls’ journey of selflessness to bring Twilight back because they realize that they need her. Their friendship is so powerful that they realize just how sad and empty their lives are without her. The movie uses the Elements that the other 5 were given to develop and express their personalities on a more human level. Not literally mind you, but you know what I mean.

We took the Elements of Harmony in a completely different direction than the show. Mostly because we wanted to focus not only on the Elements’ power itself, but how they are connected to the wearers.

You’ll see that Twilight’s spiritual growth into adulthood is more connected to her element than you might think *wink wink*
