since the animation is not going to be anymore will the puppets will be released to the general public?
The JOTS puppets are not going to be released, mostly due to the fact our animators may use them for future CSS projects and shorts. Other assets, including the storyboards, will be released after the audio drama is released
Hello Everyone, I’m Jonathan Sirois, Executive Producer of Journey of the Spark. I’m here to give the news that JOTS is officially ceasing production as an animated film.
There are several reasons behind this, some of which are personal and will not be delved into. Despite the ending of the production, many of the staff wish to remain on board for our future productions. There is no one personally to blame for this. But, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Our Voice Director, David Doyle, has stepped up and will be turning JOTS into an episodic audio drama.
Below this post is a letter from the director of the film, Violet Ridenour. Though it may not answer every question, we hope that it’ll give some insight as to what’s been happening with the film as of late. We would like to thank you all for the three years of support you all have showed. We hope you continue to follow us as we branch out and work on our newest creations, The Longest Brawl, and Asura’s Reach.
Alright everyone! Voice auditions for The Longest Brawl are now closed. We have selected all of the candidates for our main cast and we are ready to reveal the lucky actors/actresses!
Here is the final roster for the main cast of characters in The Longest Brawl:
Congrats to those who were accepted for the project and many thanks to all those who took the time to audition. Stay tuned as we’ll be releasing a brand new video featuring all of our cast member’s voices very soon!
For those who are at BronyCAN this weekend, we’re making this post to remind you that two of our staff members from Journey of the Spark will be hosting a panel tomorrow night to show off some exclusive stuff that wasn’t shown at BronyCon!
On the panel will be Sean Krause (Animation Department, Animatics) and Julia Serdyuk (Storyboard Artist). For those who will be going, we’re looking forward to seeing you there and for those who can’t make it, we hope to record the panel so you guys get a taste of what’s in store!
