Hello Everyone, this is Eric again and I would like to make a quick update about anyone who has filled out an application for the Journey of the Spark Production Staff.
We have finally gone over and E-Mailed everyone who sent us an application. So if you filled out an application and did not get a reply right away, you should have gotten something. We apologize sincerely for the massive delay in our responses, but hopefully everything should be in order now.
Thanks again for waiting patiently!

What's the expected wait time for application replies?
It honestly depends on various things.
Sometimes, we just don’t get to the applications for a while, cause either we are busy with our personal lifes or we are focusing on something we are working on and then we just don’t get to it.
Also, some applications just need a fair amount of thought, before we can make our final decision.
We are trying to get all the remaining applications sorted out at the moment, and to find a better way to handle them in the future. I know there are some applicants that have been waiting for quite a while at the moment, so if you are one of them; Sorry for the wait, we will do our best to sort it out within this week.

Hello. First of all, I want to say that it's sad but completely understandable the decision of moving the release date to 2015. When I read the news, I went back and I read again the information about the movie (which hasn't been updated btw) and I noticed that the duration of the film is "~2:15:00"... So, this is my question: how a small crew of voluntary unexperienced members can make such a long film in less than 2 years (when Double Rainbom's team last almost 1 year and a half)?
To answer this question to the best of my ability, I must make it known that the current release date of “Summer 2015” is completely ambiguous and is ONLY a Tentative Release Date. We WILL push the film back further if we feel it is absolutely necessary so the team can release a product that we feel is up to not just the expectations of our audience, but our own expectations as well.
One of the things I would also like to mention is that there quite a lot of people working on Journey of the Spark who have worked on other projects in the community and know what to expect and know what they are doing. The reason for the delay in the film’s release is simply the fact that films take a LONG time to get made and require a lot of resources. There are a great number of people working on Journey of the Spark who put a great number of man-hours into the project just about everyday despite the project being a solely voluntary experience.
Hope this answers your question!

How will this film be shown? Will it be theatrical, Made-For-TV, or Direct-To-DVD?
The answer to your question is none of the above. The film will be made public online for people to enjoy. Before the film is released online though, we have plans of showing off the final version of the film at conventions such as BronyCon and PON3Con.

Was this mentioned on Equestria Daily? Because even though this was supposedly announced sometime in September, I didn't find out about it until today.
Journey of the Spark actually has been featured on EQD at least a few times, both in personal posts and Nightly Roundups! The project itself has been in production since November 2011 but was publicly announced in August of 2012.
