Correct. Journey of the Spark is a stand alone story. Whatever happens in the canon of the show is not going to effect the story of the film.

Ohhhh boy, without spoiling much, “Keep Calm and Flutter On” is tied with “Wonderbolts Academy” for my favorite episode of the entire season and I would easily place it amongst my Top 10 Favorite episodes of the show overall.

We’ll be releasing the film’s Original Soundtrack before the movie is released online. If we manage to work out the legal stuff, the Soundtrack should be available for purchase via Bandcamp =D

I do read MLP Fanfiction! I have a ton of favorites actually! However, while I’ve heard of the fic you just mentioned, I personally have never read it. But I’ve heard great things about it!

However, Journey of the Spark mostly got its inspiration from my personal favorite MLP fanfic “Eternal”. I just loved its sense of emotional and human storytelling and I took the elements that worked with the story and put them into the story of Journey of the Spark in terms of its themes and ideas.
