Now Playing Tracks

Just a thought. Have you considered using "Dear, Sweet Child," during the end credits, or something like that. It was amazing to hear it in your voice. I suppose it would probably be covered by a VA instead, but it wouldn't be hard for others to find the original.

Wow, people really liked it that much? I might have to reconsider putting it back into the film at this rate! But no, I didn’t think of putting that song somewhere near the end of the movie or during the End Credits.

So here’s a video related to Journey of the Spark that has a relatively interesting story behind it. Back when the film was to be based on my comedy series Brony Edition and all the characters were going to be voiced by myself and four other friends of mine, I made a demo of a song that I wanted to feature in the film.

The song was a re-write of the song “Please Wake Up” from the film Once Upon A Forest and its connection to the story was inside of a flashback that Twilight has in which she remembers her time in Canterlot Castle as a filly and how her relationship with Celestia blossomed into what it is now when Celestia sings Twilight a lullaby, gently helping her fall asleep.

So in this video, here is myself singing the re-written song as Celestia. Now, here is the reason why the song was cut. While the song and the scene itself was emotionally moving and sentimental, it just grinded the story to a halt and thus was cut from the story due to time constraints and pacing issues. While I’m sad it probably might never be featured in the film, I’m still reminded of just how much passion I put into recording this demo. So enjoy!

How good do we need to be in flash to sign up for an animator role?

Here are a few words from the Animation Director of the film Danny Owen:

In terms of animation, we obviously need a test, but for Flash knowledge they need to understand how to sort through layers, layer groups, graphics and a very basic knowledge of masking. Tweening would be nice but not required. Understand how to sort through the library, use symbols and stuff and finally understand how to insert audio onto the stage.
