has making this movie changed you in anyway

Its changed me in many ways. Its helped me become a little more in tune with working with other people. For every good thing that has happened on the picture, the team and I have faced many types of adversities.

Even now, many people outside of our fanbase are skeptical about what Journey of the Spark can accomplish. Whether or not we succeed in appeasing the hardcore pony fans does not really matter to us. We set out to make the film because we have so much faith in what we’re creating. The key to making Journey a success is never letting go of the vision. There’s a difference I feel between creating something and then creating something that you completely understand the meaning behind.

There are people who feel like the movie is going to be too dark or too melodramatic, but our fans are quick to defend the route we’re taking the film because they perfectly understand what we’re trying to do and that gives me more of a reason to make it even better! To me, I’ve never really seen something like that with a piece of work I’m creating.

But really, the enthusiasm we’ve been receiving from you guys has been phenomenal. If BronyCon was any indication of how excited people were about the project and how many new followers we’ve gotten because of it, I feel that Journey has the chance to really make an impact with people. And my job as the director is to make sure that we don’t let those people down.

We’re trying to make a good film. One that can stand out and be appreciated by people no matter how old they are. One that doesn’t undermine their intelligence and trusts them enough to really go along for the ride. And to me, that’s incredibly exciting!
