Will Discord and Queen Chrysalis past background stories against the ponies, including Princess Celestia and Luna be hinted or explored in JotS to see why they make such a formidable team together?

Sadly no. There’s only so much you can do with a 100 minute long movie. Things like this were the key reason the script had to get cut down. Too many characters and stories all going at once. It was just overkill.
