Yes I am opening commissions and I am raising my prices- this is because i am about to get into another semester of school and will be busier so i will have less time to work on them and to balance this out i need to raise my prices. right now these are the prices and I hope these are alright.
I am trying to get to bronycon this year and I need money to get there! so my goal is $500usd and that will cover pretty much everything from prints to food to other expenses. At bronycon I will be selling prints off my person (hopefully also with a friend if he has space on his table) and also will be giving away free sketches to people who meet with me. Also I am going to be on a panel (if it gets accepted- I’ll keep yall updated on it)
if you do not message me via paypal/email/tumblr I will assume you are donating so please let me know if you are donating or buying a commission.
This time I am going to open up and ask for donations
my paypal is charofeedsthekitty@gmail.com
Hey guys, my good friend Chat (Art Director for Journey of the Spark) is opening up commissions to raise funds so that she can get to BronyCon. So help her out! Chat has a lot of great things in store for the con, including but not limited to an appearance with me and the rest of the film crew along with some BronyCon exclusive prints!
You read the title right guys! As of last night, it is now officially confirmed that Journey of the Spark will be presenting at BronyCon 2013 in Baltimore, Maryland at the Baltimore Convention Center from August 2nd-4th!! We’re in the talks for final negotiations with the convention’s programming staff, but its almost 100% confirmed at this point!
Currently confirmed to attend the panel is myself (Eric Ridenour), Lead Film Editor Kyle Suter, and the voice of Twilight Sparkle and Fluttershy herself, Meredith Sims. More panelists will be confirmed over the months leading up to the convention. But seriously though guys, you have no idea how much this means to me. This is a HUGE deal for the film and I’m incredibly ecstatic to talk about the film at the largest Brony convention in the world next year. Seriously, as soon as I saw the E-Mail confirming that the panel was accepted for the convention, I cried. A lot.
So come and join us during BronyCon to get a behind-the-scenes look at the making of one of the most ambitious fan projects ever. For anyone heading out to BronyCon, I can’t wait to meet you! Thank you guys so much for your support. Its thanks to you guys that we’re getting opportunities like this. I wouldn’t be here without you!
If this picture didn’t give the implication of how incredible of an experience BronyCon was for me, then allow me to state it in much more simpler terms: BronyCon was one of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever had in my life PERIOD.
I met so many incredible people that I honestly lost count. I happened to run into a ton of different people at the con. One of which included our very own Jen, the Voice Actress for Celestia in “Journey of the Spark”! I also happened to run into my good friend Dylan, the leader of the Beatle Bronies! I actually got to see them perform live at Bronypalooza, which was probably the closest I’ll ever get to going to a real concert. My voice has never felt so dead from shouting.
But to me, my personal highlight of the whole convention was getting the chance to meet Lauren Faust. Lauren has ALWAYS been a HUGE inspiration to me and what I want to do with my career and finally getting the chance to meet someone like her was a dream come true. As she was autographing my Wonderbolts bag (as seen in the picture above), I briefly mentioned the movie to her and her initial response blew my mind.
Lauren Faust herself gave me her personal blessing. For the people reading this, you have absolutely no idea how much this meant to me personally. Getting that sort of approval from someone I look up to rarely ever happens and the fact that Lauren was so humble about it and actually encouraged me to go out and make the movie I personally want to make means the world to me.
It was easily the greatest moment of my life and its something I’m probably going to look back on years to come. Thanks to everyone who made this con such an amazing experience!
Stay tuned, I’m going to post more pictures of all the swag I got ;D
