In November of 2011, a young avid Film and Animation fanatic began developing ideas and concepts for a fan-project based on My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. His idea and concept was a dark and emotional re-imagining of the source material and his vision of what a Series Finale to the popular animated show would play out. Trying to find a story to match this concept, he dreamt of a scene in which 5 of the Mane 6, Princess Luna, and Spike were seen walking on a log across a rapid waterfall.

That man is myself, Eric Ridenour, and that was the main inspiration for Journey of the Spark.

Has the time finally come at last!? Zecora has finally joined the cast! That’s right everyone! Ponyville’s resident shaman/potion-maker, one that speaks in rhyme no less, is finally joining the cast for Journey of the Spark. In the film, Zecora is being performed by Megan Garcia, known mostly on YouTube as SooperTanzy.

And while Zecora’s role in the film is not as big as the rest of the main cast, she is still relatively vital to the story in a much more subtle manner. Regardless, we’re extremely excited to have Megan on board for the film and we hope you’ll be just as excited when she makes her appearance in Journey of the Spark when it releases in 2014.

Hey guys! Eric here from Journey of the Spark. So you may notice that the Ask box disappears every so often or so. Well that’s because of a few reasons. Due to the overwhelming popularity that Journey of the Spark has been receiving, I only open the Ask box for Q&A each weekend from Friday til’ Sunday.

So for anyone wanting to ask questions about the film, here are a few policies I hope you guys will respect, any and all comments that don’t follow these guidelines will be ignored:

• Please refrain from asking spoiler-related questions. I WILL delete these types of questions.
• Do not ask if certain characters will be in the film. Who we have in the film is who we have in the film.
• Do not suggest or request things to be put into the film. Those questions will also be deleted immediately. We’re making this movie for free, so there’s no need to demand so many things from us.
• If your question does not answered or gets thrown away, it is more than likely a question that I have already answered. I get quite a few questions asked each weekend, so you’re bound to find the answer that way.
