“Journey of the Spark” to Possibly Run at 2hrs. 15min?

You did not misread that folks. I literally just said that.

As the scripting process for “Journey of the Spark” starts to become more and more complete, the team and I behind the film have been estimating the possible runtime that the finished product might end up having. It would appear as though the film will run just a little over 2 hrs.

My original goal with the film was to have the runtime be no longer than 1hr 50min. But it would seem as though that’s not going to happen. The story we initially wanna tell is far too big in scope to have at that length and as nervous as I am that the story will end up being this long, I’m still hoping to deliver on something truly extraordinary.

Please note however that this is only an estimate for what the final runtime might look like and is NOT final. How long will the film eventually run? Who knows for sure. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens.

Oh boy, when I said we were making some huge progress in terms of casting, I really meant it. Probably our biggest announcement is that we finally acquired a voice actress for Rainbow Dash!

Straight from the fan-favorite comedy series “Friendship is Witchcraft”, say hello to Jenny Nicholson! Beyond FiW, Jenny has been seen showing off her diverse voice and singing talents in various other Brony-related projects including “The Massive Smile Project” and countless others.

We are extremely excited to have her on board for the project and we hope you guys are excited as well! This announcement is just the tip of the iceberg as more announcements are sure to follow!

Hello everypony, my name is Eric Ridenour and I am the Writer, Director, and Producer behind the upcoming fan-animated film “My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic ~ Journey of the Spark” and welcome to my production blog.

Here on Tumblr, I’ll be using the blog to update fans and viewers about the behind-the-scenes production on what many are considering to be the most ambitious project to brace the Brony Community. Here on the blog, I’ll be posting quotes, Concept Art, Storyboards, and other things that tickle my fancy about the film’s overall production.

I’m also completely open to anyone asking me questions about the film. So you see that there Ask button on the blog there? Yeah, go click that. Ask me something, I won’t bite. Anyways, I’m hoping that all of you are looking forward to the movie, with its current Release Date being sometime Late 2014.

Also, feel free to follow any of my other sites, such as YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. I’ll be updating quite a bit on those as well.

Thanks again everyone and I hope that you will enjoy my blog.
